Navjyoti Special School is a leading school for the intellectually disabled, offering a comprehensive range of services to its students.
Our prime objective is providing education, training and rehabilitation to children and young adults with intellectual disabilities including mental retardation, autism and multiple disorders.
The School seeks to empower persons with intellectual disabilities so as to enable them to live a happy and meaningful life as a valued member of society.

At Navjyoti Special School, we use a multi-pronged approach towards Special Education:
- Child-specific activity based curriculum within the IEP (Individualised Education Programme) framework. We have introduced innovative structured training in special education and disability rehabilitation.
- Careful 360-degree diagnostic assessment of each child at entry. Thereafter his or her progress is updated and measured against the IEP by our highly qualified staff.
- Extracurricular activities that channelize unproductive behaviour of disabled children into productive activities. An example of this is the semi-annual inter-school talent search competition organised by us.
- Involvement of parents and community in the child's development.
- Access to specially designed therapies and activities from our Wellness & Health Center as follows : Occupational and speech therapy
